Teams are a fundamental part of collaboration in Graphext. Create teams to work with specific people on a number of projects around a given subject. Manage teams from the home dashboard of your Graphext workspace.

If you are analyzing a number of different projects all related to Google Analytics, create a 'Google Analytics' team containing all of these projects. You can then invite everyone that needs to see or edit them.

Creating Teams

Working within specific teams helps to organize your projects into categories. Choosing a precise name for your team helps people to recognise what kind of projects are located inside of it.

Teams you are currently part of are displayed on the left sidebar of your Graphext workspace. Create new teams using the 'Create a new team' icon underneath your existing teams.

How to Create a Team?

1. Start from the home dashboard of your Graphext workspace.
2. Select the 'Create a new team' icon from the left sidebar.
3. Enter a title for your new team.
4. Click the 'Create Team' button.
5. Done ... Your new team has been added to the list of teams displayed in the left sidebar.

Sending Invites

You can invite new members to a team so that they can collaborate with you on projects. When you add a new team member they get sent an email with a link to join your team.

Make sure you are working inside the dashboard of the correct team before sending an invite.

How to Invite People to a Team?

1. Start from the dashboard of the team you want to invite someone into
2. In the left sidebar, select the icon representing 'Account and Team Settings'.
3. Select 'Team Members' in the 'Team Settings' window that pops up
4. Select 'Add member'
5. Enter the email address of your new team member
6. Select 'Add'.
7. A link to join your team will be emailed to this address.
8. To add more members, repeat steps 4 - 7.
9. Select 'Done'.
10. Done ... Everything you do inside of this team will be visible to your new team members.

Removing Teams

When you remove a team it no longer exists in your Graphext workspace. You, along with all other team members, will lose access to all of the projects and datasets inside of it. Whilst this can be a useful way to clean up your workspace, removing a team is not reversible so make sure you definitely want to remove it before you do.

You can only remove teams that you administrate.

How to Remove a Team?

1. Start from the home dashboard of your Graphext workspace.
2. Make sure you are working within the team you want to remove.
3. Select the settings icon from the bottom of the left sidebar.
4. Select 'Remove Team' from the top right of the team settings window.
5. In the window that pops up, click 'Accept'.
6. Done ... The team has been removed from every members Graphext workspace.
